Members of the Credit Union can nominate a person to receive their Credit Union Shares. The statutory maximum amount that will be paid out under a nomination is currently €23,000 for members who died before 22^nd February 2024 and €27,000 for members who died on or after the 22^nd February 2024*. Any amount in excess of this balance will form part of your estate and we will need to see the original or a certified copy of the Grant of Probate/Letters of Adminstration before we can issue the excess funds.
