If you have made a nomination, the statutory maximum amount which is currently €23,000 for members who died before 22nd February 2024 and €27,000 for members who died on or after the 22nd February 2024*, will be paid to the nominee(s). Any amount in excess of this balance will form part of your estate. These funds will be released to your Estate on production of a Grant of Probate or Letters of Administration to the Credit Union.
