We all need a helping hand sometimes, and at Savvi we pride ourselves on doing our part and providing assistance in the community. Our motto is “People helping people”, after all! Here’s what’s been happening lately in the Savvi community.
Companies from the Docklands Business Forum came together in late September to do their bit for the local area, and Savvi were tasked with tidying up the garden at the Enable Ireland School in Sandymount! It was a lovely sunny day, and it was great to be out in the fresh air making a difference in the community!
Savvi are delighted to be supporting the development of a visual history museum at Ringsend & Irishtown Community Centre. The aim of the project is to produce a display depicting the history of the area. RICC are an invaluable resource for the people in their community and we are extremely proud to be associated with them. Pictured is Lorraine from the centre with our donation!
Our community isn’t just limited to Dublin, and that’s why we were more than happy to contribute to the fundraising efforts for the refurbishment fund of Moore Community Hall in Roscommon. Moore Community Hall serves as the focal point in the local parish, with several of our ESB members actively involved. Our donation of €500 will go towards the refurbishment and running of the centre!
Sport plays such an important part in the community, and in our lives. Savvi have contributed €300 to Arklow Celtic to fund new kit! Pictured is our ESB Member Agent in Arklow Padraig Boyce presenting fellow ESB worker and Arklow Celtic Committee member David Kenny with our donation.
We recently made donations to two very worthy charity organisations; Electric Aid and The Irish Cancer Society. Electric Aid serves as the social justice and development fund for ESB and EirGrid Staff, and support grassroot initiatives in the developing world. The Irish Cancer Society do tremendous work in helping anyone affected by cancer in Ireland. It is a privilege for us to have the opportunity to support these amazing organisations and the work they do!
